Keith McPherson is a New York sports broadcaster, content creator and the host of The Keith McPherson Show. Raised by a hard-working single mother in Ocean Township, New Jersey, he fell in love with football by watching the NFL every Sunday and copying his heroes on the playground. He became his team’s quarterback at 11, kept that job through high school and earned his first college scholarship offer while still a sophomore.
College taught him how to pivot. After two seasons at James Madison University he came home to Monmouth University, where a TV studio downstairs and a radio station upstairs showed him a new path: if he wasn’t headed to the NFL, he would talk sports for a living. He studied radio and television, DJ’d and hosted at Jersey Shore clubs, and met the woman who would become his wife, the person he credits with believing in him first. She also took him to his first Yankees game, a day that turned a lifelong fan into a voice of the Yankees world.
His career moved fast: the MLB Fan Cave, MTV, FuboTV (as its first social media manager), Roc Nation and Jomboy Media. In 2015 he lost his older brother Sean, who had been a father figure to him, and the loss lit a fire. Keith decided to build his own name, driving rideshare and working as a restaurant host while he grew his following. That work led to four years as WFAN’s nighttime host in New York, along with a daily national TV show on MLB Network.
In late 2025 he stepped away from the nightly radio shift to be present for his wife and young son, while staying part of the WFAN family. Today he hosts The Keith McPherson Show, which he owns and is growing into a sports talk show with field segments and culture. He also still models from time to time, a side of his career that keeps coming back around. His message is simple: failure is temporary, and a good pivot can take you anywhere.
