Known professionally as Ja-Tun, Ja-Tun Holmes is a New Jersey–born singer, songwriter, creative, and full-time performer whose work is rooted in honesty, purpose, and connection. An eighth-generation New Jerseyan, she has been writing for as long as she can remember and has performed professionally for more than 15 years, including touring internationally as part of the Motown-inspired girl group Radiance.
Ja-Tun views herself not simply as a vocalist, but as a vessel for the message within the music. While she brings discipline, practice, and technical skill to her craft, her goal is to step aside and let the artistry speak directly to the people who need to hear it.
For her Superstar Spotlight performance, Ja-Tun performed her original song, “Where the Hell Am I Anyway?”—a deeply personal reflection written during a difficult period in her life. Inspired by an unexpected encounter that reminded her to choose gratitude even in hardship, the song carries a message of perspective, resilience, and hope: challenging seasons may feel endless, but they are not forever.
To Ja-Tun, being a superstar means living unapologetically in your truth and giving others the courage to do the same. Through every lyric and performance, she creates space for audiences to feel seen, grounded, and reminded that there is light beyond the moment they are in.
